Your policies stay where you already manage them

Most teams draft in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or store PDFs in Drive or OneDrive. ClearPolicy meets you there — import a revision, send for signatures, and track acknowledgments without maintaining a second document library.

Connect via Zapier

For everything beyond native integrations, Zapier connects ClearPolicy to thousands of apps — no code required.

  • Google Form submission → Add to ClearPolicy → Request volunteer agreement

What you can automate

Automations are scoped to core workflows — simple, reliable, auditable.

Contacts

Create people from forms, spreadsheets, or other systems. Keep rosters in sync automatically.

Signature requests

Trigger signature requests when people are added. Send specific policies to specific people.

Notifications

Alert staff when signatures are completed. Update other systems after acknowledgment.

Workflows

Chain multiple actions together. React to events without manual work.

Reminders

Send automatic follow-up emails when signatures are still pending — no manual chasing.

Renewals

Schedule recurring re-attestation when policies need annual or seasonal sign-off.

Planning Center sync, step by step

If your church uses Planning Center, you already organize people into Lists. ClearPolicy maps those Lists to groups and keeps compliance tracking in sync — without exporting CSVs or maintaining a second volunteer roster.

  • Sign in with your Planning Center account under Settings → Integrations
  • Map each List to a ClearPolicy group with policies already assigned
  • People sync every morning — or trigger a manual sync when you need it

Frequently asked questions

Does the Planning Center integration require Zapier?

No. Planning Center is a native integration built directly into ClearPolicy. Connect your account under Settings → Integrations — no Zapier account needed.

Which Planning Center products does ClearPolicy connect to?

ClearPolicy connects to Planning Center People, specifically your Lists. Anyone in a synced list is automatically brought into ClearPolicy and assigned the appropriate documents.

What happens if someone is removed from a Planning Center list?

They remain in ClearPolicy and their acknowledgment history is preserved. If someone is no longer active, you can archive them in ClearPolicy.

Does Google Drive or OneDrive integration require Zapier?

No. Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive import are built into ClearPolicy. Connect under Settings → Integrations and pick Word documents or PDFs when you create a document or revision.

Can team members sign in with Google or Microsoft?

Yes. Team members can use Google or Microsoft to sign in to ClearPolicy instead of a password. Document import from Google Drive or OneDrive is separate — each team member connects their own account for imports. Recipients who sign policies never need to sign in.

Do I need a Zapier account?

Only if you want to connect ClearPolicy to apps beyond the native integrations. Zapier is free for basic automations; paid plans unlock more frequent syncs and complex workflows.

What can I automate with Zapier?

Common automations include adding people from forms, triggering signature requests when someone joins a list, notifying staff in Slack when policies are signed, and syncing acknowledgment status back to spreadsheets or databases.

Can I trigger workflows from ClearPolicy events?

Yes. When a signature is completed, you can trigger actions in other apps via Zapier.

Does ClearPolicy support two-way syncing?

Via Zapier, yes — you can create people in ClearPolicy and update external systems when signatures complete.

Do I need a developer to set up integrations?

No. Google Drive, OneDrive, Planning Center, and Zapier integrations are point-and-click. API access is available if you want custom development.

Is there an API for custom integrations?

Yes. ClearPolicy provides a JSON API for custom workflows, internal dashboards, and advanced integrations beyond Zapier. Authentication is secure and scoped to your organization.

Does ClearPolicy work with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. ClearPolicy is available in the ChatGPT Apps library and as an MCP connector for Claude and other AI assistants. Install ClearPolicy from ChatGPT, find it in Claude's connector directory under Settings → Connectors, or visit claude.com/connectors.

Do I need a developer to connect ClearPolicy to Claude?

No. Connecting via the Claude connector directory is point-and-click — no API keys or configuration files. For other MCP-compatible clients, use the server URL https://api.clearpolicy.app/mcp. See our MCP Server documentation for details.
